Antique Passata Bowl from Puglia, Southern Italy, also known as 'limmi,' originate from Puglia and they take the form of rustic handmade terracotta bowls.
The beautifully decorative element comes from the cream glaze on the interior, which is splattered with a vibrant green/ turquoise with external terracotta unglazed and on display.
Originally used for preparing or washing foods, larger bowls would have also been used for washing laundry and likely dating back to the late 1800s.
Size: 48 cm diameter x 28 cm tall
